  "Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Vinyasa"  
     
  Asana style  
     
  The theme of the teacher training will be Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series, one of the most popular styles of asana practice in the world today. In this style asanas are practiced in a sequence in a dynamic and flowing style using breath, drishti (gaze) and bandhas (energy locks).

The course leads you through the proper techniques for practicing various yoga postures and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga sequence including key alignments, modifications, contraindications and use of basic yoga props as well as hands-on-adjustment techniques, teaching methods and teaching practice. We place a lot of emphasis on learning Sanskrit names to both expand your knowledge and enhance your professionalism as a teacher.
 
     
  Teaching methodology  
     
  Teaching technique and style; voice projection; planning and structuring a class; principles of sequencing; alignment and adjustment techniques; teaching practice in a real class environment; safety precautions and business aspects.  
     
  Pranayama and meditation  
     
  Varying techniques of pranayama (yogic breathing), mudras (psychic gestures), bandhas (energy locks) and daily meditation.  
     
  Yoga philosophy  
     
  Yoga and its history, main paths of Yoga, eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga, Patanjali Yoga Sutra, ethics for yoga teachers and yogic life style.
 
 
 
 
  Anatomy
 
     
 
  Practical anatomy with a major emphasis on muscular and skeletal structures and in depth study of anatomical and skeletal differences i.e. Compression, tension, and proportion and orientation theory.
 
     
 
  Physiology
 
     
 
  Energy anatomy, mudras (psychic gestures), nadis (energy channels) and chakras (energy centers)
 
     
     
  DAILY TIMETABLE  
     
 
6.30-8.00 am : Mantra chanting, meditation and Pranayama
     
8.00- 10.00 am : Asana practice
     
10.00 am : Breakfast
     
11.00-01.00 pm : Philosophy & Anatomy
     
3.00- 6.00 pm : Anatomy, analysis and alignment of asanas, hands-on adjustment techniques, teaching practice
     
Saturday : Half day/self study day (No classes after 1 pm Philosophy class)
     
Sunday : Rest day

Sampoorna Yoga’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC) is registered with Yoga Alliance USA/Canada and Yoga Alliance UK. Students who will be certified from our school will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher).
