WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Our Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course is deeply rooted in the Sivananda tradition, making it ideal for those seeking a more traditional, holistic approach to yoga. Before enrolling, please consider the following:
- Traditional Approach: Our course is inspired by the teachings of the Sivananda tradition, which emphasizes slow-paced, mindful practices with a strong focus on classical techniques.
- In-depth Philosophy: Expect a rich exploration of Hatha yoga philosophy, meditation, and pranayama, with a focus on the deeper, more contemplative aspects of yoga.
- Practical Classes: Classes include traditional elements such as:
-
- Pranayama (breathing exercises)
- Eye Yoga (specific techniques for eye health and relaxation)
- Asana Practice (with a slower, more deliberate pace, focusing on long holds and body awareness)
- Less Dynamic Flow: If you’re looking for a fast-paced, dynamic flow-style practice, this course may not be for you. We prioritize depth, rather than speed, in our asana practice.
- Contemporary Additions: While rooted in tradition, some classes -including our Principles of Teaching Yoga module- incorporate contemporary and modern approaches to Hatha Yoga.
- For Those Who Value Slower Practices: This course is perfect for students who prefer steady, reflective practices, including pranayama and long-held poses, rather than a dynamic, flow-based class.
- Looking for High-Energy Flow? If you’re seeking a strong, dynamic, and fast-paced yoga practice, consider our 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa YTTC for a more vigorous, flow-centered experience.
